Synopsis of Le Mystère Méliès on Movies Office: Son of a shoe producer, Georges Méliès determined to devote himself to magic. In 1888, he used his percentage of the inheritance to shop for the Robert-Houdin Theater, Boulevard des Italiens, wherein his fairy-story suggests drew crowds. Seven years later, dazzled by the lively picture of the Lumière brothers, he launches into a brand new artwork shape, cinema. His thirst for attraction led him to invent computer graphics. But the evolution of the general public’s taste and the passage of the cinema to the industrial era put away his dream gadget. Forgotten, he ends up jogging a toy shop in the Montparnasse train station. In 1923, in a fit of depression, he destroyed the negatives of his movies. Since then, film buffs everywhere in the global have observed and restored reels.
