Synopsis of Mank 123movies: 1940. Film studio RKO hires 24-12 months-old wunderkind Orson Welles beneath a settlement that offers him complete creative manipulate of his movies. For his first film he calls in washed up alcoholic Herman J Mankiewicz to put in writing the screenplay. That film is Citizen Kane and this is the tale of the way it was written.
